"The Mayor Of Strawberry Fields" is a short documentary chronicling the quirky bohemian subculture that inhabits Central Park. The film centers on Gary, a homeless man sleeping on church steps who has been laying flowers and peace signs on the John Lennon "Imagine" memorial every day for the past 14 years. Through Gary's amazing conviction to his daily routine, he has become an anonymous artist to one of the most popular visual displays in New York City, showing the incredible trials of the homeless nation, and the heart-warming power of being a true fan.

The film, directed by Evenings Empire, features original music from Nate Harar and Torre Catalano, and holds the cinematic vision of legendary Rock Doc D.P. Jojo Pennebaker.

The film has been entered in the Tribeca Film Festival. Contact Torre for more info and screenings.
